Network
Monitoring Service is a highly
customizable infrastructure product capable of
monitoring essentially any device identified with an IP
address - and because this service is offered as a
turn-key solution, implementation within your company
couldn't be simpler. As part
of the initial setup, a secure server will be installed
in your data center or head end which will serve as the
eyes and ears into your network.
Once installed, the secure server
begins polling with ICMP Ping, SNMP, Syslog, NT Event
Logs, Traps, TL1, CLI and many other protocols and
methodologies to collect raw data from your various
network elements.
The data is
continually processed, analyzed and transformed into
actionable information, alerts and reports that enable
you to avoid outages, minimize downtime, meet and
document SLAs, up-sell customers, detect abuse and much,
much more. When outages occur, or thresholds are
crossed, you'll be notified within minutes by NOC
personnel.
